Back in the day uniforms were a symbol of our schools, they were worn with pride and made the youth look appropriate and all equal in front of their teachers eyes. Children looked best in uniform and they respected their school wear. Now all that tradition and good behaviour has been out dated, by the new tradition "pimping it up".
I look around and see how badly uniform is worn these days, teachers eek at the sight of the fashionably worn uniforms and the way students carry themselves in their uniforms.
I find it a total disrespect to those whom wore and still wear their school uniforms with pride. In town at the malls in fact in all public places we find the youth of today "making out" in uniform, wearing label shoes and funny jerseys just to make a statement, the length of skirts and the hair-do's are not what one should look like at school, neither are the pants and ties now we have fancy made ties and earings with sharp toe shoes.
Things as simple as wearing your uniform with pride makes a difference to ones personality and the way you carry your self in public. We as the youth have degraded our schools and it is not only in certain areas that this is a problem it is a concern in all areas.
The main accessories to uniform are; earrings, lumo head bands, rings, nail colour, red lips, fancy shoes and labelled bags if not hand bag, sharpp toes, diamond studs, carvella shoes, bracelets etc.
This kind of behaviour is appalling to think that we have lost culture and traditions in all aspects if one cant wear something as simple as uniform correctly till they get home what are the chances they will adhere to work dress codes?
If these are the people we are growing up to be now how much more the youth of tomorrow, respect yourseld and the others arround you!
